  43. Will my system slow down? 
  44. In most cases, you won't notice any slowdown in your system. The time 
  45. required to decompress your data is offset by the reduced amount of data 
  46. that must be moved from your disk. You may even see performance improvements 
  47. on some disks and for some programs.

  49. Will I always get twice the hard disk capacity? 
  50. On average, Stacker doubles the capacity of Macintosh hard drives. However, 
  51. your actual experience will depend on the kind of data you have. Applications 
  52. and system files often compress less than 2:1, but other types of data, such 
  53. as page layout documents and bitmap files, compress significantly better.

  82. (or any other file-by-file compression program). However, we can't 
  83. compress your data twice. To get the benefits of Stacker, simply decompress 
  84. your AutoDoubler files; Stacker compression will occur automatically.
